The children at the Lower School participated in The National Anthem Project, a public awareness campaign sponsored by the National Association for Music Education to revive America’s patriotism by educating Americans about the importance of The Star-Spangled Banner.
While the crowd gathered in front of the school, some practiced cheering for the Bruins.
Some chose to show their patriotism the old fashioned way.
Overseeing the assembly, our resident patriot and all-around first-rate grandfather, Alan Sallee.
The story of the Star-Spangled Banner was presented
Along with the back story of the National Anthem Project.
Then they got down to singing.
It was a beautiful morning filled with respectful singing of our national anthem with some Bruin pride in there, too.
